Many customers often ask Lá Parfum that: Why do many perfumes claim to keep the scent up to 12-24 hours, but only 5-6 hours later, the smell has faded, do I buy non-genuine perfume? The answer is that, depending on the body features of each person, the fragrance will lasts differently, and because you are probably applying perfume in the wrong way. That's why, today Lá Parfum will show you ways to apply perfume that will not only give off a more durable scent but also give off the right scent, helping you to be confident throughout the day.

1. Spray your clothes with perfume
That’s right! Don’t just stick to spraying perfume on your skin, spray it all over your clothes too, because clothing fibers are able to hold in scents for a very long time.

2. Spray directly onto bare skin
There are many people frequently spray a bunch of perfume into the air and then walk through it, but this is just unnecessary waste. Spray directly onto bare skin!

3. Spray perfume on top of your ears
The more oily your skin is, the longer it holds scent, and the top of your ears is often more oil than behind your earlobes. (where many people are frequently spraying onto)

4. Don't store perfume in your bathroom
This is a misconception that many people make, but heat, light, and humidity will cause perfume to gradually decrease in quality and concentration.  Store your perfume bottles in a cool, dry place that is less affected by the above three factors.

5. Use Vaseline
Fragrances will last longer when sprayed on skin prepared with Vaseline than on dry skin.

6. Use an unscented lotion before applying perfume
As mentioned before, oily skin tends to make fragrance last longer than dry skin, so using an oil-based moisturizer first will help lock in the scent effectively.

7. Apply perfume right after taking a shower
The moisture on your skin will help lock in the scent quite effectively. This will also prevent the fragrance from staining light-colored clothes or jewelry.

8. Don’t rub after applying perfume
Let the perfume dry naturally, do not rub your neck/wrists after spraying. Because rubbing will cause the perfume crystals to break and make fragrance won’t last as long.

9. Apply perfume on your pulse points
Many people spray perfume on their wrists and the back of their neck, but they may not know why. To make your scent last longer, choose a couple of pulse points. These are warm areas that’ll help diffuse the fragrance across your entire body. Also, pro tip: Spraying your ankles and calves allows the scent to rise throughout the day. Your pulse points on your body include: That’s because these are warm areas (collection of many blood vessels) that will help diffuse the fragrance across your entire body. Besides, Lá Parfum tells you other points, you can further spray if you really need your perfume lingering around you for a long time: wrists, inside the elbows, on the neck, under the chin, behind the knees, under abdomen, calves and ankles.

10. Apply perfume on your comb/hair brush
If your hair is weak, be careful not to spray perfume on your hair. Be careful, spray on the comb and then brush your hair, this will keep the hair from being damaged, but still have that ecstatic light scent. Especially girls, this will make their boys lose sleep.

11. Use hair fragrance
You may not know, there are a fragrance specially designed for hair to make it smell better and keep it fresh in between washes!

12. Study up on common perfume terms
Learning about the products you use is never a waste, especially for perfumes. There are 3 things you need to know:
- Top notes: The first scent you smell after spraying the perfume, which fades quickly.
- Middle/heart notes: The scent that develops after the top note fades.
- Base note: The heaviest scent that lingers the longest.

13. Mix your perfume with an unscented lotion
Your perfume running low? Put it in a bottle/bottle of unscented lotion/cream and thoroughly take an advantage of it.

14. Spray perfume in layers.
Connoisseurs of perfume will often find it difficult to feel satisfied with commercial, mass-market perfumes. At this point, they will create their own fragrance by combining many types of perfumes/fragrance oils together. Strong aroma products are applied first and then lighter scented products are applied on top. And to get a satisfactory scent, before venturing into your skin, test it out first.

15. Use makeup remover products to get rid of unwanted scents
If you're going to try a perfume and you don't like it, use a makeup remover products to get rid of that scent. It gets the efficiency fast.

16. Prepare things to restore a scent
If your perfume bottle is too big and fussy to carry around, spray it on a cotton pad and store it in a small plastic bag for easy scenting throughout the day.

17. Line your dresser drawers with scented tissues
Line your dresser drawers with tissue paper and spray them with your favorite scent to make you enjoy the task of packing more. :D

18. Own for yourself more than one scent
Lá Parfum know that there are many people who like to use only one perfume, but by that way, your nose will get used to that scent, and have a feeling that the perfume will fade faster than the first time you use it. Please refer to the perfume lines with the same tone, with the same family, maybe you will find more than 1 favorite perfume.
